A Little Bit About Me

 

I’ve had a successful career as a 911 emergency dispatcher and police officer.  I’ve retired from both and now work for a heating & cooling company in order to gain a second pension when I decide to retire full time.

I’m married to my high school sweetheart of 37 years, am a mother of two beautiful daughters who now have families of their own and five amazing grandchildren ranging from 2 years to 22.

​

To say that I’m an animal lover would be an understatement; my husband and I both have a deep love for all animals and have been involved in all breed rescue, both Bulldog and Dogue de Bordeaux (think the Turner & Hooch dog or French Mastiff) national rescue, breeding and conformation showing of Bulldogs as well as conformation showing of Dogue de Bordeaux and currently serve on the board of directors for the Dogue de Bordeaux Society of America.

We are currently owned by 3 Bordeaux named Louis, Ella and Ivie as well as four rescue cats, A Maine Coon mix named Willie who came to use at 8 years of age after being found injured and abused.  We fondly call him One-eyed Willie after the character from the movie The Goonies since he unfortunately lost an eye. 

​

We also have two short haired domestics named Zack & Duke who were feral kittens that showed promise of wanting to be with people more than their colony and finally our youngest, a short haired Calico kitten named Callie who was rescued from a farmer’s trap.

 

Along with the four legged crew, we have a yellow-naped Amazon named Jalapeno and several salt and fresh water fish tanks.  We’re often times referred to as the zoo and we wouldn’t want it any other way!

My goal for joining Farmasi is to create a successful business that I can do from home.  I would very much like to be a stay at home grandma for my youngest grandchildren. I really LOVE to not only play in makeup but help others to become more financially secure so that they too, can create a life that they want without being trapped in debt.
